Touche, Marv! I love that you were able to supply real statistics for us. REALLY helps. I have to tell you, I believe that people should get divorced if there is psychological or physical risk involved. I also believe that people should be very careful and committed when they marry (they should feel absolutely convinced they are making a good decision, and they should never think to themselves that they can just get a divorce if it doesn't work out). When I married my husband I refused to even consider divorce (except under the afore mentioned circumstances), especially if we had children. Once you have a child you have a commitment to a helpless human being, and getting divorced for any ol' reason is just irresponsible. My husband and I have a real bond, we are committed to sorting out our differences, not just for the kids sake, but for our own as well. It makes us work harder at it, but the result is very rewarding.
