<br>That's really weird....
After all these years, I never knew that 91X did compilations back then? Of course, they were San Diego based, but my friends and I used to listen to them if our car radios could get good enough reception.
Maybe I have seen these and never bothered to pick them up originally?
Does anyone have a scan of the LP covers? A website to look at that has the scans? And do they consist of local band only?
Even though my collection and knowledge of the '80s is extensive, I am always discovering new bands from the era...or rediscovering bands I may have ignored first time around....and that is what makes this board so exciting.

Hey Spaz, they were part of the Miller High Life, Rock To Riches compoetition and were all local bands. The one from 1984 which this song was on included:
Side One:
(song-band)
Emotion - Exhibit A
Just For fun - Darlowe
Burnin- Trousers
Gotta Be right - Luna
Voices from Below - District Tradition
and the far superior side Two:
1,2,3 - N-E-1
(English Beat influence)
We All fall Down - The New Presidents (An awesome Psych Furs type sound)
George & Marguerita - Fabulous Spud Brothers (one of my all time favorites, a cool story type song)
Then I Turn Away - the Seventh
Invade Me - Tami and the Monthlies (which won the competition and you can read more about them and listen here:)

I have ripped this LP and after the first of the year will start working on clean up and will post some of the other songs.
They did a 91X compilation in 1984 as well (this one's from 83) that was called Local Heroes ($115 on gemm.com) that included Mojo Nixon and The Beat Farmers.)
