I went dancing last Friday to a place where they make 80s music specials. To my surprise, I was the only one dancing Joy Division's songs. And that made me thought is it weird to dance with Joy Division???? Am I weird??? Maybe yes because I was the only one who was singing and dancing Insight and Disorder... when LWTUA came by, well, more people danced but that's a popular tune!!

It's not weird. Some of their songs are very easy to dance to.

I never understood why more people, guys in particular, don't learn to dance.
When I was going to clubs I used to meet so many women that way. It wasn't unusual to be asked to join a group of girls, who were out partying, once they saw you could move.
Most of my friends used to just sit at the table looking at women...so boring. Getting them out on the floor was like pulling teeth...and then they'd sit around and whine about not meeting anyone.

Randall - I had a similar experience. I went to college at an arts school that included a dance department. I couldn't dance any normal or organized dances; at least two left feet were involved at any time!
Funny thing was that the dancers didn't want to dance normal dances. It just wasn't any fun for them I guess.
Though I couldn't dance I still liked to move and just did it more free form. The dancers liked that and I always had partners; usually quite a few. My friends would watch and scratch their heads as I would dance surrounded by the girls from the dance department.
So Mercedes, I say, just be yourself and dance the night away!

Hell yes, I dance to Joy Division every time I go out dancing! The DJ at my favorite club plays JD all the time. Which reminds me, I'm probably going to go dancing this week. My feet are itching already!

Yes I would dance to Joy Division if the local DJ`s would play it. But then I would first have to pinch myself because they only seem to play CRAP, I mean RAP. I do like to Dance Salsa. [:D]

actually I have a rule, there are songs I REALLY like and songs I really like to dance to, I might not like them musically as much but they have a good beat and you can dance to it....where have I heard that before??????
