I might be able to help with this, but I don't remember the particulars, so feel free to correct me. "Sacred Songs" by Daryl Hall was one part of a trilogy of albums that Fripp was involved with (the other two being Fripp's "Exposure" and Peter Gabriel's

I've always considered Cheap Trick a power pop / rock hybrid band. In the studio they came off more as a power pop band, but live they had more of a rock band sound. I'm refering to their 70's / early 80's sound when I make this statement. Either way... t

This is a band like the Cars, where you don't know where to put them. In what catagory. Who cares? They were great! Dream police? I want you? Surrender? Got to love it! I guess you can't put a tag on every band but new rock sounded good.

I have to pipe in about this Fripp thing as well. I have a very interesting EP from Fripp called Network that has Daryl Hall doing vocals on a tune called North Star which is rather good (Hall & Oats usually makes me ill). It is followed by a much coole

Cheap Trick = pop rock, pure and simple... never ever considered them new wave... their hair was too long
