Annabel Lamb

When I was about 14 years old I wondered into my local record store with a spare 5 bucks or so but with no real idea of anything in particular I wanted (or could) purchase - everything cost too much. Then I stumbled upon the 'cut-out' bin full of (generally) crap they couldn't push. Among the cassettes were two by a women named Annabel Lamb, who I never heard of at the time. I was intrigued by the photograph on the cover of "The Flame" so I bought it, not expecting much. When I got home to listen to it, I was really suprised! Very great enigmatic new wave album, sung in sort of deadpan, sepuchreal voice. I begged my Mum for another 5 bucks and ran back to buy the other Annabel Lamb cassette - "Once Bitten".

These are the only two albums I have heard by her, but was really keen on them for a long time. I don't really know much about her, and not sure if any of her other albums warrant a listen, but I recently listened to a few tracks from "one Bitten" again and am enjoying the album all over again. My favorite tracks from the album are "Riders on the Storm" and "Take Me in Your Arms". My favorite tracks from "The Flame" are "Sacrements of Love" and "Lucky in Bed". I was wondering if anyone else was a fan or had any insight or comments about her? Also, are these two albums reissued on CD?
