The Tangles

Postby ibanezboy » Wed Jul 07, 2004 9:03 am

Does anyone at all remember my band, The Tangles? We were Brian (guitar) Ronnie (guitar), Diana (bass guitar) and Mike (drums) and of course, DOREEN, the very hot singer/dancer.
We played all originals, at places like The Dirt Club, Hitsville, One Step Beyond, The Meadowbrook, Great Guildersleeves, etc.
We were fairly small time, I just wondered if anyone remembered us. We were ourselves fans of some of the great bands on the circuit, up to about the early 80's.

I went to all those NJ places on a regulary basis so I probably saw you.
Do you have an mp3's of your old stuff? Any pictures? Would you like me to feature you on my blog?

Would very much enjoy being included in your blog. I will contact the others, who have the material back in NJ, we'll encode MP3's which I will email to you. Also, I will scan some photos of the band, as well as club ads, and other memorabilia. Thank You

Your band sounds vaguely familiar. Did you ever play at any clubs in New Brunswick, circa 88 or 89? I recall seeing some local bands in NB around that time period. My ex-fiance was from East Brunswick at the time.

Sorry, I wish I could remember. My ex was from the area, I was from Long Island, so I do not have a vivid recall of the club names in New Brunswick. I know they were not far from Rutgers and were located near downtown. I remember seeing one band with a
