Both "Russian Reggae" and "Born In Xixxax" by Nina Hagen were very certainly about the cold war.

If you go to the BBC Radio website, you'll find a very interesting documentary called "Coming In From the Cold".

It "investigates how popular culture was inspired by the Cold War over the last 60 years." I gave it a listen and actually recorded it, I thought it was so good. But the real treat should be in the second half which will be posted at their site this Tuesday and will cover (among other years) the eighties!

The shows are only posted for one week from their airdate so don't miss out. Click the link below.
