I Love the soundtrack to "LEGEND" by Tangerine Dream. The movie itself is a bit silly but beautifull to look at.
*Bryan Ferry's - Is your love strong enough.
*Jon Anderson's - Loved by the sun.[8D]Are also in the soundtrack. In the DVD version there are two, One with Jerry Goldsmith as composer and the Tangerine dream version.

So I think people mentioned several good ones. I have to second the Donnie Darko soundtrack, just because it's such a recent movie, I think it really portended to this new interest in 80s new wave. Also, Ferris Bueller...Sigue Sigue Sputnik, that's alls I gots to say [:I]

How about 'The Goonies' soundtrack? 'Eight Arms to Hold You' by The Goon Squad was a fantastic 80's dance track [:)]

SCARFACE has a good soundtrack by Giorgio Moroder and a cool track by Debbie Harry (Rush Rush).

Surprised that nobody has mentioned the "Repo Man" soundtrack yet. You've got a great Iggy Pop song, the Plugz, the Circle Jerks acoustic & more.

The Videodrome soundtrack is a pretty cool listen, very dark and unnatural. The original Dawn of the Dead soundtrack by Goblin has a few great tracks, and any sountrack album for a Sergio Leone movie is worth owning.

I've read complaints on this site about folks starting new threads that have already been created. I collect movie soundtracks and wanted to start a thread like this, but out of respect for some veteran members here, I dug back a little in the NWO archives just to make everyone happy.[:D]

What's wrong with starting new threads that are similar/same to previously created threads? not all of us have been around for long to know all of them. for some of us who have been, i doubt if we can remember all.

i am so glad some people recognize "but not tonight" as one of DM's best.

I love the soundtrack to the movie "Thief" stariing James Caan. Tangerine Dream's finest hour in my humble opinion...
