What other rock genres really appeal to you?

To name one, I really like prog-rock. From U.K. (the band) to Yes to Ozric Tentacles, this genre just blows me away. From it's themes of folklore/myths, history, and fantasy, to the intricate musicianship this genre requires, it never fails to impress me.

I'm a big jazz and blues fan-it happened to me while I was in college at the radio station where I worked-I filled in doing that-I'd be doing a jazz show while wearing my Cramps T-shirt-

I think attitudinally-Blues and Punk-have some similarities-Blues

I like rockabilly, 50's doo wop, surf & lounge & original 1920's Jazz.
I'm a mess, but I can dance a mean Charleston while wearing a leather jacket.[:p]

Everything except modern country. Not much for hip hop and techno, but I can appreciate it in small doses.

I like new wave, punk, hits of the 1970s, old country, Jamaican music, French music, some classical, rockabilly, goth, rock, rock 'n' roll, funk

I like all kinds of stuff: 1950's pop & doo-wop, traditional & modern Estonian folk, rockabilly, ska, reggae, early Americana folk, glam, goth, surf, punk, hardcore, blues, even classic rock.

Punk(the older stuff, not this pop-punk crap that's so big today),indie, industrial, experimental electronic, noise and even a little classic rock.

New wave and other 80's stuff first. Then electronic, industrial, reggae, sca, I can even tolerate some new stuff .

older punk ( DKs, Agent Orange, 45 Grave, etc.)
trance/electro
old & new Ambient ( Eno, Harold Budd to Aphex Twin)
psychedelic, mostly 60's & 70's
Babalu ! stuff like Perez Prado, Xavier Cugat, Edmund Ros
Afro-Pop, esp. Nigerian...

It runs the table for me although I have a tremendous amount of affection for 60's rock (especially what I would consider the two greatest years in rock:1965-1966).
Love it all really. Listened to Sinatra on the way in to work and Pink Floyd on the way
