Nothing to be said against a good record and a high price but this is ridiculous!

Just bought me two 7" and the Into the Fire LP. Would like to hear more from "Blacklands" and the rest of their releases. Fantastic band. Sound very much like Joy Division.
Cheers for introducing me to them.

I'll post one more from Blacklands, titled Look Around You.

http://s64.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3PBX ... B5C0NOVAW3

Plastik44: what were the titles for the 2 7"ers?

Light & Time. Both are in excellent condition, the latter is still sealed. Meanwhile I also ordered the Blacklands LP, but I'm not sure, if it'll really work out as I've got no reply by the seller. If it works, it'll be dead-cheap. I keep my fingers crossed...
Thx for your help.

Other non-LP tracks:

The Human Factor (7" a-side on Rage)
Madness at the Mission (b-side to the above)

The above seem to be only available as a release for jukeboxes.

Fuel To The Fire (7" a-side on Rage)
Debris (b-side to the above)

I Recall (?)

Both Human Factor and Fuel to the Fire were available with picture sleeves. The jukebox versions came in a generic white sleeve.

I Recall is the B-side to Switchback, which is a tough 7" to get for some reason. Excellent song though. This was one of those shitty Polydor releases (posp 464) with the painted on label, cheapest, shittiest 45's I've ever seen. They also suffer from terrible sound quality.

I have a rare 12" of Switchback, (I've only ever seen 1 copy in my searches) which is obviously some sort of radio station promo, but they left I Recall off that in favour of a couple of other songs. (I can't remember them off hand now)

Not surprised about Polydor's attitude. It seems they signed them up because they had the right sort of sound then realised what they were stuck with which is a shame as they're a decent band.

The only other track is Slide, but that's been mentioned. On the album, the version of "Time" is slightly different to the single version. It suits the album, but can understand why they perked it up for its single release. Needless to say I've got both on CD-R, complete with the usual excellent transfer and covers.

FYI, "Human Factor" is on the excellent Various Artists CD compilation "Future Shock" (which was originally titled "Hicks From The Sticks" when it was first released on vinyl).

Yes, but it is an earlier and inferior version of the song. Nowhere near as good as the 7" release on Rage.

It's also on "New Wave Complex vol.13" which seems to be the same as the 7" version.

Just got reply that 'Blacklands' is no longer on offer. Damn! I guessed that the deal wouldn't work. It would have been too smooth.
Can anybody tell me if the tracks on it are nearly as good as Remember the sun? Look around you didn't really convince me. And what about "human factor"? I liked the Joy Division feel of `Remember...´ and now I'm not so sure...
Cheers,

Human Factor is only a 7" on Rage Records.
