New Wave groupie stories

The other day I was having a conversation with my lovely and talented big sister, and the subject of INXS groupies came up(she worked on a couple of their videos, and has quite a few Michael Hutchence stories). Wish I could have met him. According to sis(as well as common knowledge), he was quite the ladies man.

No, she didn't f--- him (so she says[:D]).

I always found the idea of a new Wave groupie to be sort of unusual(if not downright bizarre), considering the stereotypical groupie is thought of as the slutted out Motley Crue type (I'd hate to see what a Dead or Alive groupie looked like). But my sis insists that it was quite common. Should I have her regale us with some stories, and does anyone on here have any first hand or second hand stories to tell?

I don't have any of my own...I always try to respect people's privacy so anytime I had seen someone who is well known (not often believe me) I don't go over and talk to them....and of course, try not to stare!! [:D]

As much of a fan I was of some groups, I was never the type to follow them, want to meet them, or attend multiple concerts by them. That never appealed to me, altho I speak for myself.

Even at my height of being a Duranimal, I had little desire to meet the guys. For years afterwards, stories had come out that Simon was a raging ladies' man, despite him being married. That sounds so lame. The whole groupie thing sounds lame to me. I always wanted to say "get a life", but I guess for them (groupies), it IS their life.
