The Vita Beats

Postby TragicMagic » Sat Feb 25, 2006 7:52 pm

I have been after information and tracks for Australian 80's band "The Vita Beats" for some years. I remember they had a song called "Boom Box", which had some success. I liked that song, but have not been able to find or hear it ever since it was on radio back in the day.

If anyone has any information, it would be much appreciated!

Please! (bump) [:D]

Yeah I remember the Vitabeats. They had Boom Box and a follow up hit with the song "Audrey". I think they did manage to release an EP or possibly it was an LP. Every now and again you can find the single "Boom Box" on Ebay. Well there you go, I just looked them up and they had both an LP "Spot the Spanner", and and EP called "Cake Mix". For anyone unfamiliar with this group, they were a mid eighties Australian Synthy dance act, and their two singles at least, from memory, were quite good actually.

How popular were The Metronomes over there? I heard "A Circuit Like Me" and would love to hear more stuff by them from this period.

I LOVE Boom Box & Audrey, haven't heard them in over 20 years.

Would love to find them on CD or mp3.
