Who did you end up with?

Postby phillyidol » Sat Sep 04, 2004 10:00 am

I was dating a bunch of crazy girls back in the 80's. I only hope they were put away a long time ago! I have way too many crazy stories! No friend ever thought I would marry let alone marry a normal person. I still get the comments dropped on the subject. My mom thanks my wife every time they talk and calls it a miracle.(give me some credit mom)When I run into people from my past (especially the girls) and they here about my life they are in shock. Every ex wants to meet my wife. Anyway.....I think it's funny who we end up with and it what situation. Punks marry wall streeters. What happened to you? And how did it happen? TELL ME!

Thats so funny you found that. She must share your humor. My wife is the direct opposite of me. I do my thing and she just stares at me. But my kids have my humor and my wife hates it. If my kid sees a guy slip on a banana and crash through a wall, she roar

Hmmm, back in high school I was never particularly wild in my appearance but I cultivated a certain . . . image . . . that was definitely outside the high school mainstream.

I just got back from my 20-year high school reunion (more on that later) an

I didn't date in high school, though I spent many hours gazing longingly at the beautiful David Sylvian types. That's who I imagined I'd eventually be going out with, when I worked up the nerve to get it together.

In college in Alaska, there was pretty

I dated a few punk guys, some metal guys(for some reason, they all liked punk in addition to metal, even though I never liked metal very much), and a few new wave guys. It was fairly difficult to find a guy who liked the same music that I did. When I me

Girls I dated in the 80's ran the gamut from classy to trashy(personality-wise, not looks). Yep, made some poor choices in those days but it was a learning experience in the end. Now, I am married to the best woman who, although may not enjoy music as de

This is a good question Phillyidol. [;)] The man I married was not ANYTHING like the guys I would go out with. He was laid back and never had gone to any of the clubs I went to. I met him at work when I was a teller and I would cash his checks. No one

I'm still waiting to end up with someone. I had a run of bad luck (or more accurately a run of bad choices).

I was dating a guy back in college who was really into the same New Wave/Punk stuff that I was into and everything was great. Unfortunately, we drifted apart when I went abroad for work. I always wanted to end up with someone who had the same taste in mus

Anyway, in the words of Wilco "she fell in love with the drummer." And
