"Near Dark"...right! A cult classic. Also reminds me of "Body Double" with the hilarious Frankie Goes to Hollywood cameo and "Blood Simple", the movie that launched the Coen brothers.

Another good film is Fletch. Whatever became of Harold Faltermayer (not sure if the name is spelled right) who did the soundtrack to this film? He also had a hit back in '84 or '85 called Axel-F, I think.

Eric Stoltz was in a great movie where he and a crazy wresler freind get an apartment. His freind throws a huge party and gets them evicted. It was a very funny movie.

Valley Girl, without question. Really nailed down New Wave nicely, in the early 80's. Before it became bigger (even though it was still not mainstream) in the mid 80's.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High - not so much for the soundtrack and fashion - (was'nt THAT much of a New Wave film after all) but a damned good 80's period flick.

Rock N' Roll High School - awesome! (Might have been late 70's though.....who cares, LOL) Reminds me of being a kid again!
