New Episodes of VH1's Bands Reunited w/ new wavers

Postby ebbhead » Wed Jul 28, 2004 3:40 am

The next 5 episodes of VH1's Bands Reunited will be New Kids On The Block (woo hoo!), The (English) Beat, The Motels, ABC and Haircut 100.

Should be good. Even NKOTB, IMHO. ROTFLMAO.

It premieres on VH1 (in the US) the week of Labor Day, Sept. 6-10.

Have they been replaying the original series? I have yet to see the Kajagoogoo or Flock of Seagulls episodes.

The show tries to reunite the original band members, so I'm assuming it's The English Beat.

I can't wait to see Martha(of The Motels) on TV. This might be awesome.

I'm looking forward to a possible Motels reunion as well!
The show is 1 hour. Past experience has taught me that a 1/2 hr. show probably means that the band did not reunite.[}:)]
Should be fun.

I didnt know new kids on the block was a real band. I can do without that episode. But English Beat should be great.

I am looking forward to seeing all of them except NKOTB ([xx(]). Should be interesting. I still have not seen the A Flock Of Seagulls episode. Do they still show it as a re-run?

They haven't aired the Flock o' gulls one in a while, but I bet they'll be airing them before the new 'season' starts.

The Motels opened for the Go-Gos at a show here in Orange County- just last week. I didn't attend and am now wondering if it was with the original members. Quite likely their appearance was the result of a "successful" Bands Reunited show. ?

I like this show, whether or not new wave bands are featured. I thought the episode with Expose was riveting (still a lot of animosity after all these years). I'm looking forward to the new episodes.
I believe Saxa passed on a few years ago. I know th

Saxa is alive and well and playing with the semi-reformed Beat.

Check out their site:

I'm also under the impression that both Vixen and The Commodores will be on the next season.
