In my rocker days (before I discovered NW) I used to listen to Steve Slayton's "Disco Destruction" on Seattle's KISW.

It wasn't until the movie "Last Days of Disco" came out in 1998 that I finally realized some of it was pretty good, esp. Cheryl Lynn
