TATTOOS-what and why?

We were pretty crazy and alot of us got ink. I did not but always wanted one. I am going to get one before its too late. Midlife crisis? Not yet, but I don't want to be the old guy getting one to look young. I still have a little time.

Got ink? What is it and what story goes with it?

Tattoos are such personal things on public display.(for the most part)
I've mentioned this before, but I've got the legendary Wax Trax! Records logo (see pic in my profile) tattooed on my upper arm, at The Tattoo Factory in Chicago, in 1995.

Both my arms are covered, and I've got 2 on my back. The LEAST ammount of time I've spent contemplating ink is 6 months. I wanted to make sure that what I got would be important to me 5, 10, 40 years later. I got my tattoos for me, not for me to show o

I really don't mind if it hurts. I just want to make sure it is the tattoo that I want. I'm glad you told me it takes along time to decide. I've been e mailing my freinds ideas for a year. I have narrowed it down but I have to make a decision. I want to d

I have three tattoos. The latest I got last April and it hurt more than anything because my body has become so pure with my diet (I eat 97 percent of my food raw, I don't do drugs and rarely drink) -- so the toxins in the ink really killed me. I was sick

Thats wild about your reaction but I guess you are right. Your body does not have any toxins so it went wild in your system.

Red ink is really hard for most people to take. I have a tattoo of 3 roses (with a banner that says "Mom"!), 2 of them are purple and one is red. The purple ones were fine, but hte red rose had a really weird crystaline scab, and faded to a light pink a

Ollie, the yellow and brown in my durian caused more of a reaction than the red in my rose.

Do you think youth has anything to do with less pain? Because I got the rose when I was 25 and the durian this year, at 40.

I've got two tattoos, the first was my cherub on my lower back. Apparently, it's quite a piece of work. (I never see it because of its placement) I had it done when I was sixteen and living in the sticks it's a good ol' country rock and roll tattoo!

lol, Seriously, it wasn't meant as an ego trip or anything. I think I was so proud to finally have my own DJ night at one of the coolest clubs in town, and the poster art with the image was truly beautiful. I wanted to capture that moment in time foreve

I have to add that I always loved girls with tattoos. But not the butterfly, unicorn,or dolphin girls. I like real tattoos. I admire a girl who gets an arm tattoo. I always liked that alot. Also a back tattoo is nice.[:D]
