...I know he was up there in years (76), but I hate this. I know most of y'all could care less, but I F-N loved his music. Unfortunately, most folks will make the predictable Hee Haw jokes.

My whole family watched Hee Haw every weekend. I was more of a Roy Clark guy, but I respect any of those old-time country stars. The stories of where they came from & how the found fame are pretty interesting.
Didn't Buck Owens do something with Elvis Costello or someone? I recall him putting out something that was vaguely weird for him.

The weirdness didn't begin with the Elvis Costello collaboration. The man has covered some mainstream hits as well. Buck was cool.
