So you're answer then is yes- that GWB is less of a threat to America than atheists? That's quite possible the craziest statement I've ever read on NWO. Wow, hope you don't miss whatever credibility you had left.
Among people that talk like that, I won't miss it at all. [^]

Shall we have a poll?

Who has done more damage to America? Atheists or George W. Bush?

Oh, I get what you're saying hutter and I wouldn't have anywhere near as much problem with religion if it didn't poison every aspect of life with all of the problems it causes. But the fact is that it does, no matter how well intentioned you and others like you may be.

Once again, it's not religion that poisons society. It's the twisted fucks who misrepresent religion for their own power-hungry reasons that has screwed with everyone's lives. When you have an issue with a group, please try to apply it to who it applies, instead of throwing the ones trying to do what's decent into the same kettle. I wouldn't do the same to you, bro.

And George W. doesn't speak for me, or for anyone who understands the Bible. He's just another politician, who misuses religion to get what he wants out of the public (and it's not working so well anymore). Same goes for most (if not all) politicians. They have no souls to speak of, otherwise they'd get real jobs and let normal folks manage the country, as it was meant to be.

Have as many pools as you want, but you are also misstating the original question.

What would the poll?
Who do you hate more, Athiest or GWB?

All I meant was that if there was no religion, the twisted fucks wouldn't be able to twist it to fit there purposes. It's simplistic, but I'm all for getting to the root cause of any problem. I understand that if there were no religion, the truly evil would just find some other way to accomplish their goals BUT .... for now, it is what it is. If it was something else causing the problem, I'd be just as dead set against it. I don't think all religious people are intentionally a evil, but I do think that ANY support of any of it is a part of the problem, no matter how small and I have a problem with it. Sorry hutter, but nothing will ever change that. We'll have to just agree to disagree on this one, I'm afraid.

The original question was "Jimbo, are we more or less of a threat than some lunatic commander in chief who thinks he's on some kind of a divine mission?" Obviously I meant Bush. I didn't misstate shit. The question would read as I just posted "Who has done more damage to America? Atheists or George W. Bush?" or if you wish "Who is more of a threat to America? Atheists or George W. Bush?" I have faith in the collective intelligence of this board. Do you?

edit: Maybe we should make it "Who do you distrust most?" which is closer to the original topic?

The commedian Bonnie McFarlane has a great joke about this topic:
"I grew up in a mixed religous household... my mother's an agnostic, my father is an atheiest...
(father's voice) There is no god, (mother's voice) There might be..."

Yes you are misstating the premise by presupposing that GWB is an insane religious extremist that thinks he's getting direct commands from God, ala Osama bin Laden.

On my very first post I said that atheists are no threat to the US and you want to turn that into a popularity poll with GWB.
That's where I think you went off the rails.

EDIT: What I think would be more telling is to run a poll asking who is a bigger threat, GWB and the Republican Party OR UBL and Al Qaeda.

BTW Motors, how would you answer that question?
