I just flipped the lady working the take out counter at Bob Evans a buck this morning. No tip cup present, just fast friendly service.

I don't tip at fast food places--ever. I'm a good tipper at nice restaurants, however, because I once waitressed and it's crummy making $2.15 an hour while you are basically whoring yourself out--the cuter I was the more money I made. I hated it, but I was a single mom and going to school fulltime and the hours worked out for me.

I tip food delivery people, hairstylists, valets, bartenders and that's enough, I think!

We share similar thoughts[:D] Better safe than sorry and no indictment of pizza delivery guys but, we order a LOT of Pizza and I never see the same guy twice!


The only drive thru window I tip at is the Fast Food Mexican place (my favorite!) and for reasons similar to above.

Good service at a restaurant gets a good tip but it's sad we determine the value of the effort put forth by the price of the food. There are some low price places that have phenomenal service, do they deserve less than the mediocre service at a high price restaurant??? That bugs me and I try to make things somehow balance out as often as I can by leaving bigger than normal tips when I get spectacular service.


Now to the most annoying thing ever!!!![:(!][:(!]
Just got back from the Bahamas and stayed a week at some ungodly over priced resort (The Atlantis). Every place you eat they automatically include a 15% gratuity![V] Fancy Restaurant, Buffet (are you kidding me!!!), Snack Bar , etc. As you can imagine, the service sucked and they had the nerve to have a line that said "additional tip"! What really irked me was the fact that the employees probably saw little or none of the money I'm sure!
