I think all these songs would make for a really great compialtion. Here's my contribution. I always loved the sincerity and "tough love" in the lyrics as well as the vocal style. Wow, talk about a band that needs to reform, release a record and play some clubs.

Maybe Men Without Hats wasn't exactly what you were expecting. But it has always been a mystery to me why the track "Unsatisfaction" from Folk of the 80's (Part III) was relegated to a b-side while Messiahs Die Young was released as a follow up single to Where Do The Boys Go? "Unsatisfaction" is a lost synth-pop treasure, IMO.

This is the vinyl (EMI or Harvest) version of Thomas Dolby's Radio Silence which is different (better) than the one on the cd. I think Lene Lovich is doing some vocals on this, and i remember driving the parents honda around LA while hearing this on KROQ back in 83 or so.

Contrary to what some might believe, & considering that Deb worked at Max's Kansas City, I really think Cherry had some influence over Debbie in the very early, or even pre-Blondie days. I think it's so ironic that with Cherry's second album - there is such a massive Debbie influence. What goes around, comes around!

I never really thought their personas were that different from one another, except that Cherry Vanilla was more of a showperson, and Debbie was more of a artist, writer, etc.
