KROQ Top 106 lists

That's odd!
So there are TWO DIFFERENT versions of (Private Domain) - Don't Need That Much?

The version I got is 14 seconds shorter and sounds different, also the lyrics start at a different point.

Does it have Pato Banton on it? Evidently, they were already established before teaming up with Pato, so there are recordings without him. Otherwise it's an edit?

Yep, that version is the non-pato version. I remember coming across that record once and thinking that it was ok, but not as good as the one i remember KROQ playing. Weird what a little toasting will add to a song since the versions are nearly identical except for the intro line and the rapping in the bridge instead of the solo.

BTW has anyone found Robbie Nevil, "Time Waits for No One"? KROQ drove it straight into the ground circa 1987. I remember hating it, but i want to hear it again to cause memory pain.

Does anyone know about a song called mother's day by a band called boy john frost. It reached the KROQ year end chart back in 1988.

Anything by John Frost will be extremely hard to find. He was KROQ's creative director through the 80's and 90's and the song was produced by him as a novelty.

Well, deadirony, if you still need Bed of Lies, I have that one. Just by chance, does anybody have 'Take Her Where The Boys Are' by EYE PROTECTION or 'Daddy's Coming Home' by WALK THE MOON. Those two songs and the Robbie Nevil one are the only 3 I still haven't been able to locate from KROQ's annual Top 106.7 songs. (I never bothered trying to find the John Frost songs since they weren't official releases)

Awesome!!!!! You are the best! Other than those John Frost songs and the Jetsons Theme and a couple of other non-official released songs, my KROQ annual 106.7 is now complete!!!!! Thank you for helping me out in my obssesive, but at the same time very fun quest! I started compiling my KROQ music in the summer of 2001 and I can't believe it took 5 years! If you need anything or looking for some songs, let me know. Although, I am assuming you've got a much wider catalogue of sorts than I.
