The average price of a ticket to see a Premiership team is £40 ($68) which is poor value for money considering how well Birmingham and Villa aren't doing.

You're very astute in saying that the team I follow is indeed Sutton Town who are currently trying their hardest to throw away their chance of reaching the play-offs.

Our football set-up is very much unique to the UK as lower-league football has a very small following around the rest of the world while here it is quite popular. One of the problems with supporting a non-league team is competition from other interests which has seen our crowds in a ten-year period go from 200 to 120. Still, the non-league setup is robust if nothing else and we will bounce back. [:)]

One more question, what would a Sutton Town player make for playing? Any idea?

We are on the 8th level of the football, so the players are part-time (meaning they usually have full-time jobs as well).

The average wage is around £60-80 ($100-140) per game/week depending on contract.

Of course your football team would beat ours. You're three divisions higher with higher number of supporters to enable you to keep hold of good players.
