If you are a previously registered user, you must do the following:

1) Click on 'I forgot my password' at the login prompt
2) Enter your username and email you registered with and submit
3) You will receive an email with an activation link. Please click it and then log in using the random password provided
4) Go to your User Control Panel and click on the Profile tab
5) Click on 'Edit Account Settings' and enter your new password twice followed by the random password provided earlier. Click Submit.
6) That's it...you're back in! You may have to log in again with your new password.

Yeah, you're right. Some of the prettiest girls I ever saw were outside the New Wave scene too. I definitely dated outside the scene and because of that met all sorts of people I would'nt have if I were to be closed minded. Whatever.....like Martin Gore w

good points....

I, too, straddled a couple "scenes/ crowds" in HS. I was a Waver/punk (with my silly ragamuffin look, lol); but i was also an Honors kid in all the AP (Honors) classes. I had 2 best friends who were NOT friends with each other: a Waver

My old nickname, "New Wave Dave", should answer the question. Like you Troutbreath, I was conservative, but I liked the unique look and sound of new wave. I started getting into it around '79-'80, probably due, in part, to wanting to be different.

I did a year at Brooklyn College before I transferred to F.I.T. Friends there called me the Pope of Greenwich Village. It was all in good fun and I thought it was hilarious!

Brooklyn college? Do you remember campus quarters? The video arcade next to the school? I lived pretty close to the school back then.
