Who cares? The whole concept of a BIDET is profane! We (America) have thrived as a society without feeling the need to install this useless device in our bathrooms. Either we put up with dirty stinking asses these 200 plus years...or else we just jumped in the shower and rinsed off! Everytime I go Europe people stink! You would think if they used this more they wouldn't right? Well that was the point I was trying to make.....I never met anyone who admitted to using the damn thing!

As far as using the device sexually....heck I think that is a perfectly good way to use it. At least the owner is getting something out of it!

When I was in Amsterdam, the toilet I had(in the high end room I bought) access to had a bidet built in the toilet. You turn the dial JUST right and it hits your asshole with cold water. Quite great after a stomach churning day due to traveling.

The toilets in amsterdam are odd as when you take a dump, it sits on this ledge before you flush so you can view your fecal masterpiece before sending it away.

And when I'm traveling in Europe eating strange food, let me tell yah.

To steal a phrase from Manekineko, the look of that thing makes my a*shole pucker!

Yowza! What if the water is ice cold?!

So, are there towels to dry your bum with? Because you know what happens to toilet paper when it gets wet--it sticks to things. I'd have to have a towel to dry off with so I wouldn't have bits of toilet paper hanging off my nether regions.

The Bidet is far more important then "the other post" that is taking up everyone's time.

So can someone answer...Why don't people with Bidets just jump in the shower?

Speaking of weird bathrooms. The one's in Japan are it. The classic porcelain hole in the floor.

But the one in Paris took the cake. I had to GO! and of course McD on the Champs-Élysées said to me,"take a leak here" what a weird urinal. Image this a wall of black marble chest high. With upside down triangles also of marble as dividers and a sheet of water constantly going down the marble wall. So in essence you were peeing on the wall. :)

The one in Italy were sanitary. The had a machine which had a plastic wrap on the toilet seat and when you were done it would rotate the plastic to new plastic. :)

In India on certain trains they just punch a whole in the floor and do it there. Some old newspaper if your luck to wipe......

In old school bathrooms in Europe you just pee up against a wall with a constant flow of water.

In France they just whip it out and go in the street.

Yes! The first few times I used one I ruined my shoes [}:)] (because little girls aren't taught to aim like little boys are). But I got the hang of it pretty quick. The big challenge is keeping your skirt or coat from dragging all over the floor while you're squatting! The Japanese claim their toilet is more sanitary than ours because no part of the body touches it and it can be hosed clean in a flash.
