Shampoo Directions

Postby MARV » Fri Mar 31, 2006 11:45 am

Shampoo, rinse.....repeat.

What is this? Does anyone actually do this? I think it's a scam to get people to buy twice as much shampoo.

I've tried it.... it's just the same as washing it once. Just another in the long series of lies as to make people spend money.

The secret to my long, lush, Demi Moore-esque waist-length mane of shiny brunette hair is . . . a really oily scalp! I gotta repeat man! Sometimes twice! [:D]

I don't do it. My hair is so thick it's a pain in the butt just getting all the shampoo out once. There's no way I'm doing it twice.

The funniest directions I ever saw (aside from the diagrams on the directions of an enema--I never in my life had one but worked in a drugstore) was on a toothpick box. It's a pick. You pick your teeth with it. But yeah "lather rinse repeat" always bothered me too. Not as much as it does probably Mare Idol, but annoying.

I only do it once. First because thats all I need because my hair is like fine spun strands of gold.
The second reason is because the "repeat" law is a trick by the corporate fat cats to get us to use twice as much so we will buy more. This theory goes deeper than 9/11 or Kennedy!

Daddy, you missed talkin in this one!

I dont get it. Its a sham to get you to buy mroe shampoo...I only do it once....and I feel fine all day.
-There are quite a few times where just once isnt enough with the shampoo.

OK.....so who actually leaves the conditioner in their hair for sixty seconds? I'm afraid to answer for fear of revealing my obsessive / nerd alert tendencies [:D][:o)]

That's because paw doesn't know what shampoo is. Even if he did, you know he never dun learned to read and couldn't read the directions anyway. That's why I'm so proud of yer report cards, son. You're growing up a fine young man, much more the man that yer daddy ever can be! I'm so proud of you son!

Well Johnson and Johnson makes a lot of shampoo and stands to gain from repeat washing of hair and don't forget that LBJ stood to gain from JFK's assasination...coincedence? I think not![:0]

I think "repeat" is a holdover from when people only bathed twice a week, whether they needed it or not [xx(].

On the same idea, ever notice how much toothpaste is placed on the toothbrush in commercials and print ads? About 14x more than is needed.
