Footloose - Horrible movie!!

Postby WoodlandParkPunk » Tue Aug 10, 2004 1:46 am

Just a change of pace. Saw the movie last night for the first time. My God!! It has to be the worst movie I have ever seen. Corny plot, lousy acting, lame dialogue. Kevin Bacon HAS to embarassed. Hell, I was embarassed watching it.
Any thoughts?? Soundtrack sucked too.

Seeing all those white people dancing at the end of the movie was quite posssibly one of the most horrifying moments in cinema. Just too, uh, white.

It is very cheesy but it has a soft spot in my heart. It was filmed here in Utah (Lehi, Utah) and some of my former school mates were extras at the "car hop" scene. It was sort of fun to see some local landmarks as well.

My two cents.

When I graduated from college in 1989, I saw that they were filming 'Flatliners' in Chicago, and they needed a stand in for Kevin Bacon. I fit the description they were looking for pretty closely, but I held back on calling since I figured my parents woul

Kim:

I had an Uncle in Lehi and when we visited it was like going out to the sticks. Now its a huge bedroom community to Salt Lake. None of that changes my soft spot for Footloose [;)]. The Mrs and I even went to the show at the Hale Center theater

I'm still of the school that says Patrick Swayze dancing on screen is STILL worse than Kevin Bacon doing the same.

I'll never forgive Kevin Bacon for exposing his little bacon in the film "Wild Things". A part of me died that night...

Guess what was on tv last night? Yep! I never watched the whole thing but last night I saw Bacon and his rival playing chicken in tractors! It must have taken an hour for them to reach eachother!
