Anyone Else Like These Bands?

Hex
Caterwaul
Blue In Heaven
The Jack Rubies

Any other fans of thse 80's bands?

Yes, I like Hex, Caterwaul, and Blue In Heaven. Not familiar with the Jack Rubies though. It would be great if some label would put out a two-fer of both Blue In Heaven albums- Explicit Material and All The God's Men.

I've never heard Hex or Caterwaul, but have Blue in Heaven's 'All the God's Men' and Jack Rubies' "Fascinating Vacation" lp. 120 Minutes used to play their "To be with you" video, which is a really terrific song.

The Jack Rubies' 2nd album, "Money In My Smile" (i think), was really good, especially "Mona Lisa", which always makes it's way onto compilation CDs that I make for people.

Caterwaul were a tough band to get into. You either thought they were the next big thing or the most annoying band ever.

I had the chance to see them at a pretty small venue in about 1988, 1989 here in Mpls. Good show.

Didn't Blue in Heaven do "Julie Cries?" I always liked that song.

I have one Hex CD, i think Steve Kilbey of the church played some on that CD.

I really liked Blue in Heaven - sort of an Irish pre-grunge/Stooges inspired band.

Not really familiar with Hex.

Was never really into the Jack Rubies - they were alsways a bit bland.
