Yeah, that's it. I forgot to put the title of the song. I downloaded two versions, one that said it was by Nick Cave, and one by Boys Next Door. They sound exactly the same, maybe just slightly different. So, I don't know. *shrugs* All I remember is I used to listen to that song a lot from the Dogs in Space album. And while not exactly about the act of suicide, it's along the same lines.

Wow, what a trip revisiting my teenage years like that. I had totally forgot about that song. Listening to it brings back so many memories that I had completely forgotten about. Makes me sad but happy at the same time. ;o)

I tried uploading it at yousendit.com to post it here, but the server seems to be busy or down. Then I tried uploading it to dropload, but found out that you can only download it once. So...... if anyone wants it, I'll send it. Not a problem.

I don't think the whole song is about suicide, but Lament by the Cure talks about it briefly. I can't remember off hand, since I don't have the album on me. I think that is one of my all time favorite Cure songs.

But wasn't the song "Asleep" more about suicide? "Sing me to sleep. Sing me to sleep....." Well, maybe not about suicide, but about going to sleep and never waking up again. But if you think about it, how could you do that, unless you took a bottle of pills first or something. *shrugs* Anyway, I like both of those songs.

I've always wondered what that song was about… now that you mentioned it, I think all those themes work with the lyrics. That song came out when I was a kid, so I always thought it was about lost love, I wasn't mature enough to think in those darker terms yet [;)].

Now I think it might be about death of a loved one. Also, wanting to die: "Sometimes I'm all alone and wish that I could."

But when I googled around for the lyrics, I found it's also the title of a twisted Elizabeth Taylor/Katherine Hepburn movie. Don't know if it's a connection.
