I'm with you guys on this one. Just because he/she was not a New Wave artist, didn't automatically mean that their song/s were bad. Frida is a good example. I never thought she or her song was New Wave, but I liked it a lot, and somehow it fit in.

Kraftwerk was not a New Wave band.
They have been around since the early 70's. They are the grandfathers of a lot of electronica, but I never thought they were ever really considered "new wave".
