Dumb and Dumber/Bowowow cover

Dumb and Dumber/Bowowow cover

Does anyone know the name of the artist that covered Bow Wow Wow's song "I Want Candy"?
It played during the movie when they were sharking at the bowling alleys. Unfortunately it is missing from the soundtrack.

I don't know the part you're refering to, but to help: The song was originally done by the Strangeloves. There was a cover around the time "Dumb And Dumber" came out by Malibu.

Because it appeals to me to be technical:

As rewind said, Bow Wow Wow's version of "I Want Candy" is actually itself a cover of a song by the same name recorded in the 1960's by The Strangeloves. (Don't get me started about Aaron Carter.)

To answer your question: I don't know. I slept through that movie. Also, the Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com) does not cite that song in its credits, and I was hoping to find the answer there...

Thanks.
Could I get it more backwards??
...inferring the cover band to be the original artist and calling the original artist an imitator...my bad, real bad.
