Marv! I love your #3 compilation! I want so badly to DANCE to your infectious mix, but my bum knee is keeping me down [V]. I'm so glad you included Naked Eye--I have wanted that song for so long!!!! For Love is one of my favorite songs, too, and nice to hear Bjork (I have alot of her stuff). I'm also digging St. Etienne. Very cool dance mix!!!! [8D]

I'm putting together at least one new compilation which should be ready in about a week. I'll send you a copy, Marv,

Egg roger, the MP3s actually do work on my computer. I've had trouble in the past, but these are fine.

Good. Now it's just a question of size (boy, have I heard THAT before). Does your CD drive tray have an inner concentric depression, kind of a small lower shelf the size of a mini-CD?

Thanks, Marv. Yes, I love how Bjork sings on the 808 State song--I had to look twice at the playlist to see who she was singing with. I turned my friend, Lisa, on to your newest mix today. She loves the Luscious Jackson tune. [8D]

Manekineko--as usual-I'm happy for a trade. Even though my burner is down , I have some extra copies of some of my burns that I think you dont have. You have Nero--Ever see "Invalid field in CDB?" Wont let me burn. Borneojimmy-your Poodles cd was the last succesful burn I did.[xx(]

Medication--after weeks of listening to "Midway" by the Famous -I have to ask--Who are these guys?????? Love the tune-play it daily--cannot find anyone that has ever heard of them!!!!!!

Randy: Yeah, I really love that cd by The Famous. They are out of San Francisco and I think they are somewhat popular in California, Oregon and Washington. If you havent already, you should pick up their cd "Light, Sweet Crude", I believe you can get it at their website, www.thefamous.net or at CD Baby.

Egg-Roger: I got your mp3 disc in the mail the other day and I transferred it to cd...I'll be listening to it tonight, and I am sure I'll enjoy it immensely!

Marv: Got your disc this week as well, I'll be checking it out this weekend, looks like another fine dance mix! You 'da man!

Schwenko: Thanks for the souveniers from Japan. Love the coasters and the sushi bar menu...it inspired me to have sushi for lunch yesterday. Delicious!

No need for the adapter, I do have the inner shelf for the smaller discs.

I LOVE your latest "Club 03" !! Great stuff. I love the Dubstar tunes, I love it ALL!
Only thing is, after about 3 songs, it quits. Same thing happened with manekineko's CD "Club Noir" a while back. The CD plays on my computer just fine, just not on my regular CD player in my living room. This has only happened with a couple of CDs that I've received.
Man, do those songs flow together AWESOME, Marv! Nice work. Right up my alley. I'm going to go listen to it again right NOW.

All I can suggest about your living room CD player troubles is try copying my disc with your own CD burner and see if that works.

Well the responses from my last in the Club series were so positive that I was inspired to go ahead and do another one. I kind of went deep into clubiness on this one.....pardon me for channeling the inner club kid but he just had to come out [;)] I kind of delved into clubtronica territory to a certain extent, as there are offerings from the Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada and Daft Punk but there's also some New Order and No Doubt in there. Even some Clash. And then I have some French DJ action goin' on too. But the theme is certainly CLUB and I don't know if anyone noticed but the opening tracks in this series always fade in, as if you're walking into Marvy's club and the music begins to consume you. God, one of the best parts about going out is the walk into the club. The energy, the anticipation, the excitement.

Anyway, be on the look out for Club 04. And don't worry, I'll get more on track with an 80's compilation in the near future.

Wow--its been a year we've been doing this and in honor of that these past 2 months Ive tried to relisten to everything sent again--what a hell of a collection.!!!!! As Ive said before-these discs put Rhino to shame.

Just to list a "few" quick hilites for me from the last year-and there were MANY, so I WILL list only a few for the sake of time-and the fact that I dont have the cds in front of me and I'm bound to forget a lot-but-here we go----

Naked Prey--the first cd I got in the mail and still one of my favorites--this being the first cd and what was on it was proof that this was all a good idea. Naked Prey--you still with us??

Bchipz--the guy that started it and continues with semi regular mailings--keep it up!! Your Aussie mix was my favorite so far.

Blir and Manekineko--Lounge mixes that I would never expect to like--but I love them!!!

Marv--ditto with the dance mixes (havnt listened to your most recent yet)-did not know what to expect--love them!

Schwenko,Spaz and Save the Wave--huge collections of incredible stuff-glad you shared! STW-I stillowe you a few.

KYYX--One song--Softcore--all it took--a song on an old cassette taped from radio-didnt even know who did it--till your cd arrived. Many thanks for that alone.

Otter---Quohog Memories!!!Nuff Said!!!!

Devildog--The numerous trades from you have been priceless--things Ive looked for for years!

Medication--You have almost single handedly made me appreciate a lot of the new current bands that I know I would not have listened to if not for your discs!!

Eggman--Who can forget your Xmas present of last year with the holiday songs???? Not to pressure you--but any chance of a spooky Halloween themed mix????? You can put your face on the cover again!!!![:D]

Borneojimmy--So glad we have a punk amonst us--love the energy in your mixes!!!!

Yeah--I know I didnt mention even half the people involved--but these are the hilites I can think of at the moment without flipping thru the discs and seeing what Im forgetting. Ive enjoyed everything thats come my way from everyone, Maybe not every song, but hell , thats unrealistic!! Great job everyone , to those I mentioned and to those I didnt. Keep up the good work--always willing to trade.

Now I can get to listen to all the stuff thats come in over the last month and a half that I put on hold to go through all the "old" stuff again.!!

Well put Randy. It's been an amzing ride. I got everything from the exchanges all in a single stack. I've gotta find time to review and comment in a similar fasion. Everybody's stuff was surprisingly great - you know how there's the temtpation to put stuff out that's so rare and esoteric that is actually sucks (there's a reason why the popular stuff became popular)? Well, that never really happened. Thanks to all, but especially STW's 10-disc tour-de-force and Spaz's multidisc pop goodness.

BTW, it goes without saying that Randy's "no rhyme, no reason" mixes absolutely rocked.
