David Bowie in NYC

"The audience at Central Park SummerStage roared a welcome when David Bowie made a surprise appearance with the indie rock band Arcade Fire at its concert on Thursday night, The Associated Press reported. In town for Fashion Week, he performed a song of his own with the group and then strapped on an acoustic guitar to join the band's Win Butler in singing its "Wake Up." The performance was only Mr. Bowie's second since suffering a heart attack last year. ... "

Heart attack!!! Wonder if he's quit the coffin nails...

I like the Arcade Fire a lot, and it's funny how classic artists seem to gravitate toward them.

Anyone else hear them with David Byrne doing "This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)" from last February's Irving Plaza show?

Okay, I just want anyone who tuned into Altrok Radio immediately after I posted that last message to know that I did *not* intentionally put the Byrne/Arcade Fire record on. It did that by itself. (And, frankly, that scares me.)

(And both BSP and Brakes are in the rotation today, too. Also not intentional. In fact, I sometimes wonder who's running my radio station...)
