I know it seems cliche, but I'll definitely go with "The Pleasure Principle." I have several of his albums but that's the one that does it for me, all the way through.

On Warriors - yes, Bill and Gary didn't get along too well. In fact, Nelson had his credit removed from half of the album and Gary re-recorded much of it without Nelson. Gary regrets it now, and the Nelson/Numan stuff that remains is excellent (the title track, several b-sides).

On people claiming it went downhill after Telekon - all I can say is that if you haven't heard Sacrifice, Exile and Pure, you're missing out on some of the best music in a decade. Each album is progressively better.

On Automatic - Numan pretty much DID phone in that performance, as he was a singer and lyrics man only. Bill Sharpe wrote all of the music.

As for my favorite album - despite my username, my favorite album would be Telekon or Exile for their consistency of material. The single track "Berserker" is my favorite song of all time, though (by Numan or any other artist).

I have access to 3 copies of the 7" of "Stormtrooper In Drag".
It's credited to Paul Gardiner but it's pretty much got all of Numan's band as well as Numan himself.

PM or emial me if anyone is interested.
