Well thanks fellas. That was a fun getogether. But not a camera amongst us to document our music scourings in lower Manhatten, nicely hosted by Skinnytie, Schwenko, and Marvy. Kimiiii would've been sorely disappointed.

Next event...Across the Narros festival? Come on, who the heck is going?!

Pretty tame for me. Didn't scour that long...weeknight and all with food and beers to be imbibed. The others may have done better:

The Best of The Skids - I'm pretty excited about this one
The Blasters Collection - always a SoCal favorite but never owned their stuff
New Order 316 DVD - filling in the back catalog
St Etienne's So Tough - again filling in the classic catalog
The Brakes' Give Blood - how could I not get this BSP spinoff for $7
Badly Drawn Boy's It Came from the Ground EP - MOST happy about this I think, his pre-Bewilderbeast EP

Well.. USA isnt the same what europe is. In Scottland, Edinbrough, in used-cds shops You can get a lot of great english band records. It seems that the time has come for english youth are throwing away their dad cds.. It seems that the youth doesnt care bout the new wave anymore, and i think its correct.

- Baby Monkey, by Voo Doo Child (the moniker by which Moby goes when making strightforward, underground, electronic dance music with no regard to commercial success) Never wanted to pay full price for it though. 8.99.
- Groove Armada, Purple Haze single. Has a video on it too. 3.99
- Depeche Mode, Enjoy the Silence 2004 mix. Not toop bad at 4.99.
- Esthero, Wikked Lil Grrrrls. LOVE HER. A great deal at 7.99.
- Happy Mondays, Pills n Thrills n Bellyaches. An ex stole this CD from me. Glad to replace it finally for 5.99.
- Nitzer Ebb, Showtime. One of those tapes I never thought too important to replace on CD but or 4.99, why the hell not.
- Kraftwerk, Minimum - Maximum. My proudest purchase of the night. The double disc live set cost me only 10.99
- Chemical Brothers, Singles 93-03. At 2.99 this was a steal.
- The Finisterre DVD by Saint Etienne which is a poetic view of London set to the band's magnificent music.
- Two Transformers DVD's for my son. 5 bux each.

Oh, and I bought the Essential Cyndi Lauperr for 6.99. Don't know why I forgot I already had this. Anybody want it for 6.99?

I didn't purchase anything until Marv and I left you all, headed back uptown, and we stopped into Virgin Records for a little bit. I got "The Best of King/ Love & Pride" there for $12.99.

However, when I went back to the stores today, to see what they replaced the racks with after you all had cleaned them out, I did manage to snag these two:

"Below the Waste" by the Art of Noise - $4.99
"Percussion Force" by Cabaret Voltaire - $4.99

The quest never ends, does it? [:)]
