Reading this book right now. It is the history of the LA punk scene. Very interesting. Belinda Carlisle was "very friendly" to say the least. Good read. If you can get a copy get it.

I would have to say MY favorite book on 80s underground rock is "Our Band Could Be Your Life."

I read the Neutron Bomb book. Pretty good. If you like that one you should track down the Darby Crash book "Lexicon Devil". Written in a similar style, all quotes from different people.

In that same style, but on the NY side of things is "Please Kill Me" by Legs McNeil. Good read.

A great fiction novel I read dealt with the 80's New Wave era thru numerous flashbacks of the main character. It was called "In Awe" by Scott Heim. Quite graphic & sometimes disturbing events within this work, so be warned...[}:)]

I loved "We've Got the Neutron Bomb"! "Our Band Could Be Your Life" was also awesome since it showed what an astonishingly selfish, sexist prick Henry Rollins is. I knew there was a reason I could never stand that guy!
