"Forever Now" & "Mirror Moves" are two of my all time favorite albums. I saw The Furs twice. First time in 1983, they had a cellist playing with them on that tour. It was a spectalcular show. Saw them again in 1986, it was one of the worst concerts ever. The sound was awful but I also got the impression that Richard Butler was phoning in his performance.

My Aural Stimulator,
have you heard the 12" "New York mix" of "Heartbeat" ? This blows the single version away !! Also one of my all-time ultimate faves.
"All of This and Nothing", "Imitation of Christ", "Sister Europe", and the [i]Mirror Moves[/i] album are my other faves. The older, album version of "Pretty in Pink" IS much better than the version that made it into the movie [i]Pretty in Pink[/i], yeah.
As I have stated before, "LOve MY Way" will always retain a special place in my heart, as it was the first NW song I remember hearing (on KYYX!) and thinking "WOW! I've got to get more of THAT." It is the song that got me hooked on New Wave.

always had a soft spot for the furs, richard's voice so fabulous + regarding fave songs... tough one, but amongst them for sure:

In 1984 I went to London with KROQ...they treated us to a free concert with the Furs at the Hammersmith Odeon. Do I have to say it was a fantastic time? I don't think I ever tasted a better beer than the pint I had before leaving for the show- the anticipation of the night ahead as the warmth flowed over me was "heaven".

I have a hard time coming up with my favorite Furs album. I love Forever Now ( Love my way), Mirror Moves (Ghost in you, Heaven and Alice's house are my favorites off this album) and Talk Talk Talk (pretty in Pink, Mr. Jones). I can't even come up with my favorite Furs song. They are just totally awesome! I remember hearing the Fur's play on KYYX too! Boy do I miss ALL OF IT.
I remember dancing to the Ghost in you on the big speakers at Skoochies! Usually it was one of the "were getting ready to close so mellow out song." It's a slow song and if you danced just right to it, you could actually pull it off. (Not me though no matter how many times I would practice)!!! I don't know how many times I nearly fell off that speaker hoping that if anyone saw me they would think it was a hip dance move and that I was suppose to do that!
