Ah, The Killing moon, That song does give me a haunting feeling. I like listening to it as I drive over the Golden Gate at night into the city (yes, i have bridge music).

LOL, I do appreciate the compliment but really, I'm like an amateur compared to some of the people around here! I know alot about my bands that I like and a little about others but there are posters here who are like walking encyclopedias.

Anyway, I ALWAYS loved this bit from the New Radicals' 'Get What You Give'. Not exactly new Wave but one of the best bands of the 90's IMHO. A real pity that Greg Alexander disbanded the group. I thought their future was brighter than bright. The one album they released was a killer. Each and every track. Here ya go:

This song was one of the songs my friends and I listened to as we drove out to go to Club Postnuclear and it was from the NW club themed movie "Modern Girls".

Hi Blir - no that wasn't me but I know who you are talking about. It's tough for me to break it down to just a snippet but I will try. That's why I love this board - it makes you think!

I remember driving around with a friend of mine singing this at the top of our lungs - although we never really got the lyrics right.

Evocative - absolutely - Woody Rappinghood reminds me of all the nights we'd get in a car & just drive, or sit up at the top of an old resevoir until sunrise, just hanging out - everynight.
