KROQ trivia question circa 1980

Postby mud » Mon Sep 26, 2005 7:29 am

Does anyone remember a song with the lyric:

"And YOU took me to the Whisky for a big night out."

The song title could easily be "And You", in that it's repeated with other accusational endings following "And you" throughout the song.

Female Lead Vocalist.

This has been haunting me (ok, off and on) since my days at Phases on Topanga in the Valley.

Shit, that last bit was painful to write.

I can remember some of the most obscure stuff from that period but this isn't ringing any bells.

It couldn't have been something that got a lot of airplay, was it?

Was it a fast song? Slow? Anything else you may remember would help.

I am running through all the female vocalists in my head right now.

Sorry that I cannot help you with this one, Mud. Please post about it if you find it elsewhere.

OT: Afghanistan is a long way from The Valley. If you're in the armed forces, come home safe! If you're just yankin' our chain, and really only chillin' in SD, well then shame on you!
