Who has bought new wave promo 10 inch LPs back in the day.

I have:

The Clash--Black Market in 10" (nothing special came with this lp [:(] )
The Police--Reggatta De Blanc in 10" (This came with a Poster)
Joe Jackson--Look Sharp in 10" (This came with a Joe Jackson new wave botton)

I tried this topic in 'vinylmania' and nobody took a bite...

What about the 10-inch "Nu-Disc"s that Epic put out in the early 80's. Black Market Clash was one of the series.

Others were lesser-known new wave acts (you have to see the awesome cover

Gary Glitter and Shakin' Stevens had Columbia Records nu-discs releases too
I have a U.K. Wreckless Eric EP and some 10" singles

Klark Kent "Music Madness From The Kinetic Kid" came on a 10", which was packaged in a 12" sleave.

I have a reprint copy, but the original was suppose to be on green vinyl with a message that this record shrank to 10" and turned green upon exposure t

I can recall most of the "Nu-Disc" stuff. I have the New Musik, Cheap Trick, and on another note I have a group called something like the new katz and a picture vinyl of Whipple, with the inverted mcdonalds arches as the "W", and the Devo live 10". On the

I have Oingo Boingo's - "Only A Lad" ten inch disc. Those 10 inch discs are hard to find nowadays.

the live at the electic circus in virgin by some great manchester band included the drones , buzzcock and joy division

the 10 inch reissue of the legendary kill by death band from florida called the
pilon

Off the top of my head I know I've got the Clash, Police, Joe Jackson, Squeeze (12" of music Squeezed onto 10"!), I have the Specimen bat-shaped disc, the Alien Sex Fiend 11" disc, and a bunch of punk stuff on 10".

Part of the "shake up" of the record industry in the 1980s was the fact that recordings started appearing in interesting formats. Hence all the odd shapes and sizes of recordings- 12" singles, eps and the like.

I've got some weird foreign pressing of the floppy disc record. Same outer sleeve, but the inner sleeve is yellow instead of silver. I'll have to dig it out to find the country of origin.
