Hi Kimi,

Thank you so much for the pictures. FYI, Me and Stacy P. (the co-owner of Skoochies) used to live down in the basement using that side door to get in and out. What a horrible stinky place to live but I do miss the memories. Did you visit any venues you like in Seattle?

Hi Kimi,

HA! I guess as a DJ I am rather used to seeing what the nightclubs that hold so many passions at night look like in the daytime. Nightclubs are kinda like computers...without the right human interaction they're just big dumb boxes. But mix in the right people and talent and you can create magic!

I once heard that some strange stuff went on down in the basement. I'm not sure if this is true or part of Skoochies lore. I heard the door to the basement was near the bathrooms.

Dovan, you baaaaaad assssss DJ. All the Issaquah people you know are around. Some in prison, the rest of course with the help of Mommy and Dadddy very sucuessful people. You know Megan's father was a senior Senator from State of Washington. Well, I have not really spoken Tim or Megan or any of the gang member since I left Seattle for Washington DC in 1988. I know that Matt went to prison for writting back checks. Timilin was in touch with me for while, I saw her the few times I came back to Seattle. I do miss her. Barbab, Pipper, Leslie, Sally, (the list goes on and on) I have completely lost touch with. I do not know if you remember Jim Kim (he was a good friend of ours - he was friend with Tang and Fung), any way, he recently died of Liver Cancer. He had stopped doing drugs and finally got his Law Degree. We were all very proud of him.

I hope Vietnam and your new effort is finding you well. I do not think many people really can appreciate the hardcore wave music on Wednesday nights. Randy was a good jukebox but Lets face it, one has to have some serious taste for music to know "Dr. Calculus and his programming skills" hint hint....

WOW!!! Mikey buddy! so nice to hear from you. You can email me at dovand@msn.com. I saw Tom, Timilin, Piper and Megan in 2001 at Chandler's. Megan is still at Blue Nile I think, Timilin was working as bartender and Piper got new boy friend. Tom took me sailing at Lake Union and we drank lots of beers, not as much as your Skoochies days. I saw Stacey P. Skooch at the Metropolitan Grill and heard that Randy was playing at Neighbors. Hate to say this but I do miss the good old days. I am working as a project manager to build a 34 hectares spa, villas and resort in Danang with Starwood, Horwath and WATG. I have saved 390 Vietnamese poor children with hydrocephalus. I am very happy here in Vietnam.

I worked at tower records, at 5th and mercer 1984-1985. and as soon as i got off work, wed, thur and friday, i went straight to Scoochies!
Im the guy who was allways requesting soft cell !

Hello - this is Shane - I built the Skoochies Roller Rink Sound System and opened the club as the DJ - Left after I had disagreement with Skooch - went to Portland end of 84 to build Portland Skoochies - DJ there until I believe mid 85 - anyway hello if anyone remembers
