Oh man how could I have forgotten:

FRANKIE SAY T-SHIRTS!!!

When I was in London they were EVERYWHERE

Then of course there were the "I don't care what Frankie says" t-shirts

How 'bout that whole back pack hanging off of one shoulder thing? What the heck was THAT all about? I swear, my back is shot today because of that. When (and why) did we decide not to use the other strap on the other shoulder???[V]

Being an older student who attends college, I am NOT a double-strapper. Never have been and never will be. I have a friend who is also an adult college student, she has a PRADA backpack and uses the double strap. Just so she can show off the PRADA logo! Her back is going to be fine when she gets older! I am jealous for 2 reasons 1.) No back problems and 2.) The Prada book bag.

This may not necessarily be an 80's fad per say but I think that kids of the 80's were the last generation to really play skelley on any kind of wide scale. I LOVED playing skelley. More a New York City thing. Any other New Yorkers around here remember this?

I have a pair. I wear them to the office on hot days - sockless of course, or wearing, as the saying went "air hose".

I guess I should add men going without socks as an 80's fad. It was mostly a preppy thing with topsiders or penny loafers, but I also did it with the keds canvas boat shoes. If the weather was warm I never wore socks. It made my shoes stink, but my ankles were cool & breezy.

Ah yes the Miami Vice look! No one other than Crockett and Tubbs could honestly pull off that look.

Do you mean ankle-height white athletic socks? I wear them all the time with running shoes, but I assume you're being TIC about wearing them with topsiders or penny loafers. If you're going to wear socks with those shoes they should be argyles. I have a few pairs of those, too.

Oh yeah, I was being TIC, lol. I do wear those ankle length socks with sneakers though. And yes, I have argyles too [8D]

It should be noted that I never did the penny loafer thing. I just always prefered a rubber soled bottom. Which brings me to the white canvas Sperry sneaker. Whoa, talk about classic Americana. And comfy too. NICE [8D]
