We have been talking about him so why not a thread. If you don't know, he is this goofy guy with a really cheap set who had a local tv show. It was great because the set would fall down around him. There was tons of inside jokes and tons of great bands.

Do you remember- his puppet OOGIE? And how the camera had to pull away from his face so you wouldnt see his lips move?
- a guy named Netto that worked on the show.

-My all time favorite skit: cuppy the cup head
He had a doll that wasw suspended from a string and it had a paper cup for a head. He would play the piano or talk to a band and all of a sudden, this cup head would come down from the cieling and start dancing around.
The show sounds stupid but it was funny as hell!

The punk band I was in, The Plague, actually played on the show in 1983. I pretended to play imaginary drums while the rest of my bandmates pretended to play unplugged instruments and lip-synched.

I remember that show, but did not watch it very often. I was more into "Creature Feature" & hosts like Elvira & Son Of Svengoolie...

For a short while, Uncle Floyd's show was actually on network TV, but it wasn't the same. It would come on after Saturday Night Live, on NBC, but he got a new set, and the spontaneity wasn't there. They did get a better grade of bands though.

I do remember when he went to regular tv after snl. Skinnytie is right. It was not the same. When he had rotten sets it was so funny. The cheese of the show made it funny. He would be so unprofessional talking to the people off camera and thats what made
