Most of my faves are from the original gang - Ramones, Patti Smith, Buzzcocks, Rich Kids, Heartbreakers, Joan Jett, & the Nuns.

You can't go wrong with the Wipers, almost all of their stuff is really good. My favorite is the "Over The Edge" LP. You can go to their website at www.zenorecords.com & buy any of their stuff from Greg Sage, the main creative force behind their music. He even has CDRs available of all the out of print & bootleg stuff from over the years. Wish more bands would do that.

Oh yeah, "Youth Of America" is a great record too. At the risk of sounding like a pitchman for Greg Sage, I'd highly recommend the box set. It's got the first 3 albums, plus singles & lots of bonus tracks. I know it's on the website for a really low price.

I was able to see most of an original line-up of Chelsea at the 2001 Punk Aid Fest in London. I got to meet Gene October and James Stevenson (one of my favorite guitar players [he played on Kim Wilde's "Kids In America"]). Having been a long-time Chelsea fan it was a real treat to get to meet them and sign my copy of the Sniffin Glue book. When Gene found out that I had landed at Heathrow 5 hours before the World Trade Centers fell down he gave me a big hug and said "I'm really sorry mate, you must be worried sick about your mum!"
