Does anyone have a clue who does this and what the proper title of it is? I remember hearing it played on WLIR/WDRE a long, long time ago, but I am totally blanking on it.

Some lyrics:

"There are lots of the old movies where a person knew his place, buying flowers for a lady, rubbing grapefruit in her face"

And the chorus, which should be the huge giveaway: "I can't deal with the New Romantics this year, oh no no no, I say I can't deal with the New Romantics this year"

Please, please, put me out of my misery and tell me who does this song and what the title is! I just know I'm going to kick myself when I find out who it is.

Thanks in advance, everyone! :D

Solved by franco 0111 in the 'General New Wave & 80's Discussion' forum. The song is New Romantix by Lou Miami and the Kozmetix. 1982.

Wow, I've been saying I need to rip my two Lou Miami albums for like the last two years. I REALLY need to do this, but was hoping someone else might beat me to the punch. Lou's really got some good stuff.

They were a Boston group? Wow, that's embarrassing. I come here to learn about Bostonian bands from non-ex-Bostonians!

Could someone send me the clip?

These unknown songs- are the base of my exposure to new new wave tunes :).

And I DID NOT edit that post...

I have no idea why it says I edited.
Rest assured, it'd be an icy day in hell when they allow me to have any mod authority.
