Actually, I'd like to ask for more material of this act, too. I'd be happy if someone could post the different versions of "Lucifer's friend". I have an incomplete one which sound pretty good ...until it breaks off.
Cheers,
Plastik

Here's one I downloaded but (and the one I'm after, really) but it seems to lack the end. Perhaps someone can confirm if there is such an abrupt end or not. This is from Torchomatic, btw, so it might well be that the end is missing (some of his postings had such problems, but great site anyway).

The big difference to the former post seems that the vocal part is sung by a different singer. Strange, that is...

There does seem to be at least 3 or 4 different versions of Lucifer's Friend on vinyl. There is the 7" version (3:58) that appears on the MVM released single out of the U.K.

Then there is the "extended" version appearing on Precision Records as the B-side to the Tears Idle Tears 12" (can't locate this one, I must have misfiled it), and finally, there is the 12" "maxi" single on Quality Records (Canada) with a different 7" version (4:47) as one of the A-side songs (along with Pagan Ritual), and an extended version on the B-side clocking in at 8:43.

Hope that sufficiently clouds the issue. [:D]

When I get a chance, I'll go through them to sort it out.

*edit*

For those interested, I have a small blurb that came in one of the 7" LF copies I have. Makes a nice read, and on the flipside there is a nice pic of the boys, along with a note reminding us all to go out and buy the 12" with extended version of LF and extra song. So now I guess with the MVM 12" that makes 5 versions. I'm guessing the superhero is "Captain Vision".

Here's the blurb:

I'm surprised I was that close...I couldn't have guessed it for a million bucks.

Damn good guess. The Vision is not a top tier comic book character. I probably wouldn't know who he was if it wasn't my business to know this kind of trivial information.
