I always think Carol King had better tunes like "I feel the Earth Move" and "Jazzman"

For me Carol King smacks Carly up and down the block. Carol wrote a slew of 60's classics with Gerry Goffin.
Carly Simon does'nt come close.

OMG...dying! [:D]

I think Carole trumps all just on the strength of "It's Too Late", an all-time classic of classics. But Carly right behind her on the strength of a few more recognizable songs like "That's the way I've always heard it should be", "Haven't got time for the pain" and even the Bond theme "Nobody Does it Better"!

And sheesh, who said Joni Mitchell? That throws a monkey wrench into the whole thing! Help me, I think I'm falling. And what of Judy Collins? I'll have to look at this cloud from both sides now. I appreciate Carole King's contributions, but Carly sang one of my favorite Bond themes. Tough call.

On the minus side, she was slumming around, singing songs in [i]Piglet's Big Movie[/i].
