Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls Remix

Postby WolverineSyr » Fri Apr 07, 2006 4:40 am

Bfflogrrl & I are looking for a remix of West End Girls that CFNY used to play a lot. As I recall, it mixed in lyrics from another song which went something like: "Way down, way down in Alphabet town, there's a deal going down, there's a deal going down today..." I know it's not necessarily a new mix, as it was played right around the time West End Girls was popular.

Does anyone have it? Was it simply a remix that CFNY did on their own?

The one that mixes in the lyrics from another song which went something like: "Way down, way down in Alphabet town, there's a deal going down, there's a deal going down today..."

If there are 3 remixes that reference that - any one will do. Thanks!

Wolvie:

Sounds like a mix 'NY would have done themselves as they did that sort of thing on occasion. The other song was Alphabet Town by Gerry Cott (of The Boomtown Rats).

Here's the other song:

As for the Pet Shop Boys...I was never really a fan, so I'm not sure what version of the song was used.

Hope that helps you.

Thank you Eight! I suspected it was a CFNY only mix. It's just one of those songs that drags itself out of my senile mind & suddenly, I think I MUST have it!

Thanks for the Gerry Cott song! I should do my own mix!
