Are they nuts?! It is so expensive that only the rich can go to a game. It totally sucks! Games should be for the average working stiff to let off some steam not a bunch of wall street jerks. Yes I might sound a bit communist but it really makes me mad. I went to a basketball game and there was nothing but wall street guys. Sports are there so your average guy that works hard for a living can enjoy himself and not go out and kill someone.
Yankee Stadium: beer-$8.50
soda-$8.50
hot dog-$4.50!!!!!!!!!
Peanuts-$4.50!!!!!!
cracker jacks-$5.00
Tee Shirt-$29.00

This is just nuts! I hope when the revolution comes they know this is a major reason for it.
Thank God for local sports. F- the rich people that ruin it for everyone else!

Wow!!! That's expensive.... in dollar terms and not even talking in pesos terms. That's a rip off.

Tell me about it...when I was sitting in the suite at the Suns game...errrr, actually that's true - but it's the only way I go when I'm given the tickets from my company.
Same thing for the Diamondbacks, I have season tickets but I have split them with a group that gets larger and larger every year so I get fewer and fewer games. To take my family, 4 boys and the wife, it's a good thing I'm in the mortgage business because I have to take out a 2nd Mortgage on my house to go! I think a bottle of water was $4.50 last season! $20 to park??? It's just ridiculous. [xx(]
Heck, it's a $100 to take the family to the movies anymore after tickets and snacks. Hockey game, forget about it! Nose bleed seats only.

In my opinion, the fans are to blame!!! No winner in town, blame the owners and demand they sign new players. To outbid the Yankees the owners have to over pay astronomical salaries. So, it's the fans fault... and the owners..... and the Yankees!!![;)][:D]

It's easier to stay home, watch the game on TV and see 50 different replays and no hassles at the concession stand or leaving after the game! [:)]

I totally get you! But you know what I mean about the common guy? Sports are for the common guy. Where everyone is just a fan. It sucks that they have to ruin it. I'm all for the common man!

BTW, The Brooklyn Cyclones! Minor league team. Sells out every season. Tickets are about 4 bucks and they usually give them away anyway. Great games right next to the ocean and the rides and you can have the whole family out for about $20 bucks!

And the kids like it even better!! Closer to the fields, etc.
Spring training games were a blast when I was young. No lines, talk to players (I still have Reggie Jackson's autograph from when he didn't go to the dugout between innings, just came and sat next to me and talked to me all alone in the outfield bleachers), now, they are super crowded and getting more and more expensive. The Arizona Fall League is great, awesome young players and nobody at the games and real cheap!
I was an Arizona Rattler (Arena Football) season ticket holder for the first 15 years here, the players are awesome, easily accessible, friendly, the games were a blast, the kids loved it, loud music, less expensive, etc. They continued to win and the prices kept going up but it was always fun! Then there were some ownership changes and coaching changes that made me not renew (and my company's suite-getting tix for free is a whole lot better) but I hear ya!

Even the local triple A team the sacramento River cats is expensive as hell. New Fancy Stadium equals higher consesions. I bought my son a Jersey 60 bucks [:0]
He disappointed me when i said... well you can have the Jersey or the a new video game...he chose the Jersey [:(] damn i wanted that game [:D]

Edit: we do have a blast at the game so you cant put a price on that!!!!

the prices here in the UK can be totatlly stupid as well. as i support a minor team it's not so bad but manchester united just takes the pee with their prices.

approx $40 for their cheapest match seat and the cheapest season ticket is approx $760...(prices calculated on the most recent dollar exchange rate btw!)

parkings about $13

about $26 for the new home shirt for kids and adults are about $35 (bear in mind they change the shirt nearly every blinking match it seems!)

last time someone i knew went to trafford the beer and food was around the same as philly said before..

whereas!! accrington stanley!

match ticket - $20

season ticket - $385

shirt - $49 child and $60 adults...but theyre now being made by Nike...hence the price hike...

food and beverages - bring your own sandwiches and flask of tea or go to the nearest pub after the match...or buy a Hollands pie from a vendor outside the ground for about $2.50

parking - free but get to the match early for a space near the ground and the pub! either that or walk up from the train station or bus stop!

i love accrington stanley! it's such a great atmosphere at matches without any of that bloody hooliganism...

How funny, I have the old white and blue Man U jersey, got the black short sleeve awhile back and for Christmas got the long sleeve blue with red trim (super cool[8D]! It's like the Diamondbacks baseball team here, 20 differnt jerseys- it'a all about the marketing! And By the way, A Man U jersey here costs a fortune (and also, they play more games a year than a major league baseball team it seems!)
