I've always loved "Jack Pelter and His Sex Change Chicken" by Indians in Moscow. When I first heard it on KROQ I could have sworn it was the B-52's. This is lifted directly from their website, so I apologize for the crappy quality.

Ok to keep the thread alive--My favorite Richard Hell tune, who is mostly known for Blank Generation, here is Walking On The Water.

Here is an unreleased Duran Duran demo titled "Seven and the Ragged Tiger." Yes, Seven and the Ragged Tiger was a Duran Duran album, but this song never made it on there. I think it could have been one of the greats. Let me know what you think!

Now here are two songs I've been listening to a lot recently. Granted, these may not be to everyone's taste but I really like them:

Yeah - Highbury Sunshine:

St Etienne - Allez Le Verts:

From the little I could hear it sounded great, but the sound quality is too bad to really judge...
Someone has this in clear sound?

unfortunately that's the only quality on that song.....it was a throwaway demo from the studio recordings...i recalled the band said it was more a "jam session" and nothing else. i too have that demo but the quality is still the same, no matter who has it. [B)]

This is true; no clearer versions exist.
What is also true is that there is much controversy as to its authenticity--is it really Duran Duran or not. Personally, I don't think it's DD....doesn't sound like their style, the type of rhythm they'd do, the guitar work, and the tone. To me, it doesn't sound like Simon at all....too high-pitched (and I know he could really stretch those notes out). I dunno. Just my 2 cents. I'd like to know what you guys think.

Can't supply a real translation but as I remember it it tells the number of young girls reported missing over the last months and focuses on a recent sad case of a young girl disappearing...

I'm pretty new to this forum and it's my first time using yousendit, but I wanted to bring attention to this song to anyone who hasn't heard it yet. Played a lot by WLIR back in 1984, it Crazy 8's - Johnny Q: http://download.yousendit.com/BED925BD7E802046
